Team Registration Rules – ECITY SUPER LEAGUE (ESL)

ESL is set to be one of the most thrilling cricket tournaments, and team registrations are now open! Below are the rules and guidelines for team registration:

1️⃣ Number of Teams & Availability

• A total of 8 team slots are available for the tournament.
• Anyone is welcome to register a team, representing any area within Electronic City limits.

2️⃣ Team Registration Process

• The base price for a team is ₹1 Lakh, which must be paid in full before the Players Auction.
• In case more than 8 teams register, a Team Auction will be conducted where interested owners will bid for a team.
• Even in the Team Auction, the base price remains ₹1 Lakh, and the highest bidders will secure ownership.

3️⃣ Squad Composition

• Each team must have 15 to 18 players in their squad.
• A maximum of 4 foreign players (players residing outside Electronic City limits) can be included in the playing XI.
• Every team must appoint a captain and vice-captain at the time of registration.

4️⃣ Player Selection & Auction

• All registered players will be part of the ESL Player Auction, where teams will bid to build their squads.
• Each team must adhere to the budget cap set by the ESL committee for the auction.

5️⃣ Payment & Confirmation

• The team registration fee (₹1 Lakh) is non-refundable and must be paid before the Players auction.
• Any failure to complete the payment before the deadline will result in cancellation of the team registration.
• Teams securing ownership through bidding in Team Auction must pay the final bid amount in full within the given timeframe.

6️⃣ Code of Conduct & Compliance

• All teams must abide by ESL’s code of conduct and uphold the spirit of fair play.
• Any violation of rules may lead to penalties, fines, or disqualification.
